United states trade deficit 2020
The US trade deficit on goods narrowed to USD 65.5 billion in January 2020 from the previous month's USD 68.7 billion, an advance estimate showed. Imports fell 2.2 percent on the back of lower purchases of industrial supplies (-5.9 percent), vehicles (-2.3 percent) and capital goods (-1.4 percent). The US trade deficit narrowed to $43.1 billion in November of 2019 from a downwardly revised $46.9 billion gap in the previous month. It compares with market expectations of a $43.8 billion shortfall.
